Qian Ruya is an independent photographer and artist. She was born in Suzhou and currently based in Shanghai, China. She finished her MFA in Photography in San Francisco Art Institute. She focuses her works on the expression of self-identification and the relationship between individuals and objects. She was shortlisted in many different awards and prizes including Ivy Art 2016, Three Shadows Photography Award 2016, Elite Young Artists Program 2018 as well as FOTOFILMIC 2017 and 2018. Her works have been exhibited in many cities across China and North America.
