Independent curator Wang Kaimei is invited as the host of this salon, with Andrew Ruff & Lingling Zou, collectors, Jia Wei, partner of Boers-Li Gallery, Yuan Jiawei from Long March Space to explore the creative vision of female artists and uncover the real situation of female artists in the art market.

Wang Kaimei
Wang Kaimei is an independent film and art curator based in Shanghai. She is the founder of the Beyond Frozen Point film festival that has been running its second edition this year. Through her connection with Sweden and deep understanding of the Nordic culture, her curatorial practices extend to many collaborations with Nordic artists and filmmakers. She is also an art writer and contributor for many art magazines in China.

Andrew Ruff
Andrew Ruff is an influential collector of Chinese contemporary art in Shanghai. He and his wife, Lingling Zou founded the non-profit exhibition space 166 Art Space in 2017. It was initially designed to highlight aspects of a collection of Chinese contemporary art that began some 20 years ago. The collection, now comprising more than 100 works, focuses on the careful selection of artists and the acquisition of their works over their progressions and careers.

Jia Wei
Jia Wei, a partner of Boers-Li Gallery, graduated from Terry College of Business of the University of Georgia, master degree. She was the chief representative of the Red Mansion Foundation England, was responsible for building collections and supporting Chinese contemporary art in different ways. From 2009 to 2015, she worked as the former head of art department at the Beijing Poly Auction.

Evonne Yuan
Evonne Yuan currently works in Long March Space in Beijing. She graduated from the Courtauld Institute of Art of University of London with a master's degree in art history (2015) and Architectural Association School of Architecture, major in History and Critical Thinking (2016). She has curated exhibitions at Shanghai Dong Gallery, "Shanghai Dandy" (2017) and "Stead Fastly Raise the Standards in Nonproductive Construction" (2018), and has been engaged in art critical writing.
